The Indian cricketers are facing wrath of the Indian cricket fans after losing the WTC final to Australia by 209 runs as this is the second consecutive WTC final in which India has tasted defeat and it has also dashed their hopes of winning the first ICC trophy since 2013.
Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is also getting criticized by fans for failing to perform in this important match. Moreover recently, the former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir also opened up about the ugly spat which took place between him and Virat Kohli.
During the IPL 2023 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giant, the LSG batter Naveen-ul-Haq had an altercation with Virat Kohli and later on after the match, Gautam Gambhir had an ugly spat with Virat Kohli as well.
When Gautam Gambhir was asked about the incident, he said that he supported Naveen-ul-Haq because he felt that the Afghanistan cricketer was right and Virat Kohli was wrong.
He further said it was not about Naveen or Virat, it was about who was correct as he always stood with the person who is correct and he will be doing this till his last breath.
Talking about Virat Kohli’s contribution towards the Indian cricket, Gautam Gambhir says that he has a lot of respect for Virat Kohli for what he has done for the Indian cricket. He adds that people ask him a lot about his relationship with MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli and he says one thing all the time that he shares the same relationship with them and whatever happens on the field remains on the field and they don’t hold grudges against each other.
As far as the WTC final is concerned, India never looked into the contest against Australia as the Aussies dominated the match from the very first day. Let’s hope India wins the ODI World Cup which is going to be played in October-November this year in India.
