Secret Superstar Beats Dangal’s Day 1 Collections In China. Will It Break Tiger Zinda Hai’s Record?

“Dangal” girl Zaira Wasim starrer “Secret Superstar” in which Aamir Khan had a cameo may not have performed well on the Indian box-office as per the makers’ expectations but it may seem to break some records in the Chinese box-office.

There is no doubt that Chinese audience is impressed with Aamir Khan because of his performances in “Dangal” and “PK” and as a result, “Secret Superstar” has got a bigger opening than “Dangal” in China.

It was Dangal’s earnings in China only which made it India’s highest grossing movie worldwide as it earned almost Rs. 2,000 crore.

“Secret Superstar” has followed Dangal’s footsteps; it was number one at the Chinese BO and collected a huge amount of $6.79 million (₹ 43.35 crore) on its opening day. This news has been confirmed by trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

He tweeted, “Aamir Khan scores yet again in China… #SecretSuperstar debuts at No 1 spot at China BO… Collects a WHOPPING $ 6.79 million [₹ 43.35 cr] on Fri… Opening day numbers are HIGHER than #Dangal there… SENSATIONAL!”

The flick earned merely ₹ 4.80 crores on the Indian box office on its opening day.

Earlier, a Chinese movie ticket selling and fans rating site Maoyan.com predicted that “Secret Superstar” will earn $7 million on the opening day; however, the film fell a little short.

The website has also predicted that its lifetime earnings will be $84 million (Rs. 540 crore). Well if it happens, it will become the biggest Bollywood grosser of 2017 worldwide.

“Secret Superstar” has grossed Rs. 150 crore from India and overseas collections and after adding the Chinese BO earnings to it, the total would come to Rs. 690 crore. It will surpass Salman Khan starrer “Tiger Zinda Hai” which is presently at Rs. 547 crore.

Whoa! That will be an achievement in itself! Agree?
