When Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone come together, the Internet doesn’t stay calm for long. With news already out that the iconic pair will reunite for the upcoming film King, fans are counting days to see their chemistry on screen again. So when a romantic video featuring the two suddenly started circulating online, excitement quickly turned into frenzy. Many were convinced they had stumbled upon a leaked song from the film but as it turns out, things were not quite what they seemed.
The viral clip showed Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone sharing an intimate moment, set to a romantic track about being deeply lost in love. Shah Rukh appeared in a mature look with grey hair and a beard, while Deepika looked graceful in a flowing chiffon saree. Their on-screen closeness, including a kiss, made the video appear convincing enough for fans to believe it was real footage from King.

However, the truth behind the clip soon came to light. The video is not an actual song or scene from the film but an AI-generated fan edit that gained traction for how realistic and dramatic it appeared. The edit was created purely for entertainment and quickly went viral because of how convincingly it recreated the actors’ likeness and expressions. While many fans were initially disappointed, others were impressed by how advanced and believable such edits have become.
Meanwhile, excitement around King remains very real. The film will feature Shah Rukh Khan in a powerful role, with his daughter Suhana Khan also playing a significant part. Abhay Verma, who recently gained attention for his performance in Munjya, is set to appear in an important role as well. The film is being directed by Siddharth Anand who has previously delivered big action entertainers and is expected to blend emotion, drama and mass appeal.
Shah Rukh Khan has shared that the film has been close to his heart for years and that the team wanted to get the emotional core just right. He has also hinted that the project is shaping up to be an engaging action drama. While details are being kept tightly under wraps, he has reassured fans that the film will be worth the wait.
So while the viral video may not be real, the excitement surrounding King certainly is. And when Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone finally reunite on screen for real, it’s safe to say the moment will be even bigger than any AI-generated clip.
