If someone tells you that money is not the most important thing in life as it can’t buy love, happiness or affection for you, don’t forget to tell that person about this one-of-a-kind marriage which has happened in China.
A Chinese woman from Hainan province paid a dowry of 5 million Yuan (more than Rs. 5 crores) to marry a boy of her choice.
Now if you are baffled as to why such a huge amount was paid and that too by the woman, let us tell you that the woman is 38 yrs old and she married a 23-yr boy which means that the groom is 15-yr younger to the bride.
The woman also has a 14 years old son and she offered the dowry to convince the groom’s parents, as they were not ready for the marriage. But when they heard about the amount of dowry, they readily accepted her as their daughter-in-law.
Apple Daily posted a video of the marriage in which the couple can be seen seated in a red sports car. What’s more, the bride is showing off her wealth by wearing gold necklace, earrings and bracelets. It was on 10th January that the couple got hitched in Qionghai City.
