Taiwan’s Legislative Yuan passed a bill making same-sex marriage a reality that was much awaited. The bill was passed on Friday, before a week of the two-year deadline.

People are pouring in love and thousands of people are on the street celebrating love. Cabinet bill was backed by LGBTQ groups, but it has some backdrops too. Like a resident from the country can’t marry a foreigner if they belong to a country where same-sex marriages are not legal.

One change at a time right? Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen tweeted: “Today we have a chance to make history and show the world that progressive values can take root in an East Asian society.”

In the end, all we have is love. I can’t wait to see when this will happen in India. Fingers crossed.
