When asked if she felt any anger toward people from her past, she said that she didn’t believe in hating someone she once loved. She said clearly that if she had such bad feelings toward Vivian Richards, she would not have chosen to have his child.
In her memoir Sach Kahun Toh, Neena Gupta shared that she felt a burst of happiness when she learned that she was pregnant but she still wanted to discuss it with Vivian first. He supported her decision, which brought her relief. Many people advised her not to go ahead with the pregnancy and warned her about the difficulties of being a single mother. She listened politely to everyone but later asked herself what she truly wanted. Deep down, she felt great joy and decided to keep the baby.
For many years, Neena Gupta has openly spoken about how she raised Masaba alone. She balanced the demands of her acting career with her responsibilities as a mother. At a time when single mothers were rarely seen in Bollywood, she faced challenges without losing her strength or dignity.
