Actress Sameera Reddy is reminding people that their bodies should be celebrated, not judged, with a powerful social media message about body positivity.
The actress recently took to Instagram to share a video featuring words commonly used to describe different body types, including “plumpy”, “thicc”, “curvy”, “chubby”, “healthy”, “chunky” and “golu”. Through the video, Sameera embraced these descriptions and turned them into a celebration of body diversity.

Along with the post, Sameera Reddy shared a message for women and people of all ages, including public figures, teenagers, new mothers and those who often face judgment because of their appearance. She urged people to love and accept their bodies instead of allowing other people’s opinions to affect their self-worth. In the video, Sameera can also be seen confidently showing off her curves in a variety of outfits while embracing her appearance.

Sameera Reddy’s post comes at a time when conversations around body-shaming and online trolling continue to gain attention.
Recently, Salman Khan also spoke about online trolling and paparazzi culture during the “Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar” episode. He criticised people for targeting others based on their age, weight, looks, family background, smiles, career setbacks or experiences of motherhood.

The ‘Sultan’ actor also questioned the practice of trolling people simply because they have aged or their appearance has changed. He pointed out that such comments say more about the person making them than the person being targeted.
Salman Khan further addressed trolling of women during pregnancy, saying that weight gain during pregnancy is natural and that women should not be criticised for it. He also mentioned that a woman may choose to step away from work temporarily to spend time with her family before returning to films. He also urged the paparazzi to avoid photographing actresses in inappropriate or objectionable ways.
We certainly agree with both Sameera Reddy and Salman Khan, what about you?
